We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Senior HR Generalist to join our HR team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive HR support across a variety of critical functions, including payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll & Employee Inquiries: Manage the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution of paychecks. Address employee payroll questions, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Benefits & 401(k) Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefit offerings. Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and enrollments.
- HRIS Administration: Administer and maintain the HRIS system to ensure accurate employee records, reporting, and data integrity. Generate and analyze HR reports to support decision-making. Collaborate with the Head of HR to optimize HRIS functionality and streamline processes.
- Offers, Onboarding, New Hire Orientation, New Hire Training: Lead the offer process for new hires, including preparing offers. May conduct onboarding and facilitate new hire orientation and training to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
- Offboarding: Manage the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews, ensuring the completion of all necessary paperwork, and facilitating a smooth transition for departing employees.
- Employment Verifications: Handle requests for employment verifications, ensuring timely and accurate responses in compliance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Workers' Compensation: Administer the workers' compensation process, including reporting and tracking claims, managing leave, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Employee Concerns: Act as a point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing concerns in a confidential and professional manner.
- HR Policies: Maintain, update, and communicate company HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with labor laws.
- HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Leave of Absence Management: Manage the leave of absence process, including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), disability, and other job-protected leaves, ensuring legal compliance and proper documentation.
- Coaching and Advising Managers: Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee performance, conflict resolution, and other HR-related topics to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Other professional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a generalist role.
- Extensive understanding of HR best practices, federal and multi-state labor laws, and compliance regulations.
- Experience with benefits administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and administration of HRIS systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and detail oriented.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with government contracting compliance (AAP, VETS 4212).
- Experience with Bamboo HR & Payroll, Workable, and Lattice.

Pay Transparency
This job posting may cover multiple career levels. To ensure greater transparency, we provide base salary ranges for all roles, regardless of location. Our standard pay ranges are based on the role’s function and level, benchmarked against similar growth-stage companies. Compensation may vary based on geographical location, as certain regions may have different cost-of-living factors. The final offer will also be influenced by the candidate's skills, responsibilities, and relevant experience.
Compensation Range
The Compensation Range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000.
