About the Job
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our clients team and support critical HR functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with employment laws. This is an on-site position based in Alexandria, VA, where you will work closely with business leaders and employees across various projects, focusing on talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to forecast staffing needs and track job statuses.
- Support the talent acquisition team with candidate screening and interview coordination.
- Facilitate an engaging onboarding experience for new hires and transfers.
- Conduct employee relations investigations and exit interviews.
- Oversee compliance with federal and state employment laws, including immigration matters.
- Develop and implement HR training programs tailored to project or state-specific requirements.
- Maintain and analyze data on employee relations to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Process employee information updates, including new hires, terminations, and benefit enrollments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 4 years of HR experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a focus on confidentiality.
- Valid driver's license.
