Piper Companies is currently seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to work on-site in Saratoga, CA 5 days per week. The ideal Senior Hardware Engineer is eager to join a cutting edge startup focusing on enhancing AI performance through innovative hardware and optical solutions.
Responsibilities of the Senior Hardware Engineer:
- Lead the design and development of hardware components and systems, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and cost objectives
- Create detailed PCB layouts and schematics using industry-standard tools
- Oversee the entire board processing and manufacturing lifecycle, from prototyping to mass production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues, providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications of the Senior Hardware Engineer:
- 10+ years' experience in hardware design, with a strong focus on PCB layout and board processing manufacturing
- Proficiency in using PCB design software (Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD)
- In-depth knowledge of electronic components, circuit design, and signal integrity
- Strong experience with hardware testing and validation methodologies
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
Compensation for the Senior Hardware Engineer:
- Salary Range: $140,000 - $220,000 annually
