Senior Graphic Designer
Position Summary
Horizon's Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating high impact and engaging visual concepts that can be used in campaigns and marketing materials across all channels. The Designer possesses a clear understanding of visual design, layout, typography, and have a sharp eye for what will appeal to consumers by leveraging strategic insights and the latest trends. This person is a team player and has the leadership skills to manage multiple projects with various versioning requirements to meet timelines in a fast-paced environment.
This is a 1) hybrid position for candidates who live within a 90-minute commute radius from our HQ in Newark, DE or 2) a remote position for candidates who can commit to HQ's Eastern time zone 8:30a – 5:30p minimum business hours.
Qualifications
- A relevant portfolio showcasing your design concepts and their application at scale
- Degree or certificate in Graphic Design or related field; Advertising or Marketing Agency experience a bonus but not mandatory
- A demonstrated understanding of design strategy and customer experiences
- The ability to think conceptually and creatively on the fly
- Expertise in full funnel design and branding; Strong campaign branding experience
- Strong time management skills and proven ability to work with speed and precision
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively articulate and present design concepts and ideas.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; Canva, Figma, After Effects, Premier, XD, etc. are a bonus
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Sharepoint
- An understanding of print production, methods and finishes

Responsibilities
- Create designs for print (direct mail, flyers, magazine), digital (web, display, email, social), out-of-home, and other advertising, marketing and promotional materials.
- Display mastery of design, layout, typography and color theory.
- Develop and execute creative concepts that align with the company's brand identity and marketing objectives.
- Experience leading adaptive design projects, including large-scale design systems, digital rollouts, and final art.
- Ensure that creative deliverables support the project briefs and are completed on schedule.
- Collaborate closely with creative teammates to create compelling designs that enhance our brand's visual storytelling across print, physical media and some digital, ensuring consistency and resonance with our target audiences.
- Make certain that creative output adheres to brand style guides and requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in graphic design and print and digital media.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of all 18+/- brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
- Support VP CD in any internal and ELT creative or deck needs.
- Ensures all deadlines are met; has maturity to raise a hand (and raise it early) if more time is needed
