Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per year

Based in the Woodland Hills area, we are on the hunt for an exceptionally talented and detail-oriented Senior GL Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This position will have you working closely with our finance and accounting team, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and controlling the general ledger accounts and business transactions of our organization. You will be tasked with applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including analytical work and thorough reviews of financial records.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Senior GL Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing general ledger accounts and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
2. Assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
3. Preparing detailed journal entries and account analyses.
4. Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting processes.
5. Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
6. Coordinating with the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
7. Assisting with internal and external audit processes.
8. Providing guidance and support to junior accountants in the team.
9. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
10. Ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a GL Accountant, or similar role.
3. Extensive knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel.
5. Experience with accounting software and databases.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
