About the Role:
- Direct, lead, and manage projects, including planning, engineering, design, and serving as the Engineer of Record on design
- Plan and coordinate geotechnical & geophysical investigations, instrumentation programs, and laboratory testing (soils, rocks, coal combustion residuals, mine tailings, geosynthetics)
- Originate geotechnical analyses and designs for dams, cofferdams, geo-structures, deep foundations, and ground improvement programs
- Prepare design documentation, reports, calculation briefs, and construction document packages (drawings, specifications, CQA/CQC manuals)
- Present findings, engineering conclusions, and recommendations to internal and external clients, government regulators, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Support project and business development activities, including proposal and budget generation and client relationship management
- Contribute to the success of other projects and programs within the local office and across the organization
- Use Microsoft Office Suite and widely used geotechnical analysis, design, and modeling software (SLIDE, AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.)
- Experience with liquefaction assessment/triggering analyses and seismic hazard assessment is a plus
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited civil/geotechnical engineering program; Masters Degree preferred
- PE Professional Engineer license
- 15+ years of experience in site development for energy and industrial projects
- Extensive experience with Coal-Fired Power, Mining, Oil & Gas, and Waste industries
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects, including engineering design, geotechnical investigations, and client interactions
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, SLIDE, AutoCAD, and other geotechnical analysis/design software
- Experience in liquefaction and seismic hazard assessments is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients, stakeholders, and team members effectively
- This role is fully remote, but you must be based in the US.
- Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000 based on prior experience.
