About The Role::As a Senior Geospatial Analyst, you are responsible for LiDAR production from project staging through creation and quality assurance of final deliverables for the customer.
Your wealth of knowledge will be applied to ensure projects are completed on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
Additionally, you will serve as a resource to mentor junior team members.
What You Will Be Doing::- Initial staging of LiDAR topographic and utility mapping projects and oversight of production through final deliverables
- Provide QA/QC for project data and provide training and feedback to junior team members
- Manipulate and classify LiDAR point clouds using TerraScan and MicroStation to meet customer requirements
- Serve as a primary resource for LiDAR data processing on topographic and utility surveys
- Issue all project deliverables in a timely manner to support administrative, procurement and construction activities
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to achieve resolution of project- related tasks
- Assist with training junior team members on LiDAR production
- Provide internal daily status reports
- Other special duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in a geospatial field is desired, with a concentration in surveying, geomatics, or GIS related field (preferred)
- 8-10+ years of experience with LiDAR data classification (required)
- Proficiency with MicroStation/TerraScan, AutoCAD Civil3D, ArcGIS, Google Earth, and other mapping software
- Knowledge of PLS-CADD software for power transmission line projects a plus
- Experience with Optech LiDAR sensors is a plus
- Experience with LiDAR data processing software, including Applanix POSPac MMS and Optech LiDAR Mapping Suite
- Knowledge of surveying and mapping practices
- Strong knowledge of geographic coordinate systems, projections and transformations
- Ability to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulations
