Senior Fund Controller – Investment Management – Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Senior Fund Controller position with an industry-leading Investment Management firm based in Boston, MA. This position is part of the Fund Control and Operations Team and is responsible for supporting the critical Fund Control sub-function and Fund Operations sub-function that comprises fund NAV accounting and performance analysis, fund asset reconciliation, audit, expense payment processing, expense reviews and regulatory support for the firm’s funds. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Fund Accounting experience within financial services, preferably asset manager, hedge-fund, or fund administrator.
This is a 4-month contract that will pay $38-45/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This candidate is required to be onsite 2-3 days/week in the Boston office.

Responsibilities:
- Perform fund accounting and fund NAV performance reviews
- Support a variety of daily, weekly, monthly fund accounting and operations activities
- Develop external vendor relationships and internal business relationships
- Uphold the control environment for a high volume of accounting and cash transactions
- Leverage technology to refine or automate Fund operations and NAV controls to scale the business
- Support projects, both large and small, associated with the firm’s Funds, Operations, and Systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required
- 5-7+ years’ relevant experience within a Financial Services firm, ideally an asset manager, hedge fund, or fund administrator
- Progress towards a CPA, CFA, CAIA, or MBA is a plus
- Strong experience and understanding of Alterative (hedge funds) is a MUST
- Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Advanced Excel and Access skills, or a desire to develop them
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, performing multiple tasks and balancing competing priorities
- A client service mindset and strong communication skills
