Responsibilities:
As the Vice President of Fund Accounting, your responsibilities will include:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of fund accounting operations including financial reporting, audit and compliance, cash management, and fund accounting.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies and policies that align with the firm's overall objectives.
3. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial reports and ensure they comply with regulatory standards and best practices.
4. Lead and manage the fund accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
5. Collaborate with other senior management to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
6. Act as the primary contact for auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring all audits and compliance checks are completed efficiently and effectively.
7. Continually assess and improve internal controls and processes to mitigate risk and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Vice President of Fund Accounting role will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, audit and compliance, cash management, and fund accounting.
2. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is mandatory.
3. Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is highly desirable.
4. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to a diverse audience.
7. A deep understanding of the legal industry and the specific financial challenges and opportunities it presents.
8. High level of integrity and professionalism with a commitment to excellence.
