A rapidly growing Private Equity firm, based in Boston, is actively seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team! The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of public accounting (financial services clients) and private industry experience, OR fund accounting experience within a financial services company working on PE, Hedge or VC funds. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily accounting operations for multiple private equity funds, including general ledger maintenance and transaction processing
- Prepare and review financial statements, fund performance reports, and investor capital account statements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including tax filings and audits
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for stakeholders and investors
- Collaborate with portfolio management and investment teams to analyze fund performance and assess valuation methodologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA strongly preferred
- 2-5+ years of public accounting (financial services clients) and industry experience OR fund accounting experience at a financial services company (PE, Hedge and VC funds)
- Must be willing to work in Boston on a hybrid schedule
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
