Senior Fund Accountant – Investment Management – Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Senior Fund Accountant position with an industry-leading Investment Management firm based in Boston, MA. This position will work closely with Fund Controllers and team managers and will be responsible for key controls and business processes that support daily and monthly expense administration and NAV production. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Fund Accounting experience within financial services, preferably asset manager, hedge-fund, or fund administrator.
This is a 6+ month contract that will pay $45-50/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This candidate is required to be onsite 2-3 days/week in the Boston office.

Responsibilities:
- Perform fund accounting and fund NAV performance reviews
- Support a variety of daily, weekly, monthly fund accounting and operations activities
- Carry out routine support for fund class action and fund expense administration
- Develop external vendor relationships and internal business relationships
- Uphold the control environment for a high volume of accounting and cash transactions
- Leverage technology to refine or automate Fund operations and NAV controls to scale the business
- Support projects, both large and small, associated with the firm’s Funds, Operations, and Systems
- Collaborate with global team members in Europe and APAC for product support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is REQUIRED
- 5-7+ years’ relevant experience within a Financial Services firm, ideally an asset manager, hedge fund, or fund administrator
- Progress towards a CPA, CFA, CAIA, or MBA is a plus
- Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Advanced Excel and Access skills, or a desire to develop them
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, performing multiple tasks and balancing competing priorities
- A client service mindset and strong communication skills
