Your work will directly help customers discover new items to buy and get social validation from sharing behaviors. As an Engineer, you'll be taking a leadership role in defining and delivering the future of sharing on Amazon.You'll collaborate closely with UX designers and product managers to optimize the sharing journey and eliminate any friction. You'll also explore new opportunities to leverage valuable sharing data for social proofing and improved recommendations. A day in the life On a day-to-day basis, you'll evaluate new sharing opportunities, define technical solutions, and manage deliverables. You'll also mentor more junior engineers, influence architecture decisions, and present your work to senior leadership. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Seattle, WA, USA Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience - 5+ years of front-end developer creating prototypes or wire-frames for enterprise web applications or workflows experience - Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g. React.JS, AngularJS, Vue) - Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns. - Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
