RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Sr. Fragrance Evaluator must work closely with the sales team to collect customer information and communicate with the perfumery team to develop fragrances that meet their specifications.
- Must manage fragrance briefs relating to category/country/region/ or customer to ensure all submissions meet the customers cost, performance, and requirements.
- Partner with marketing team for presentations, and collection presentations, ensuring customer needs & requests are met.
- Lead, mentor, and coach Fragrance Evaluator(s) on goal development and continuous learning to ensure a high performing, flexible and agile workforce.
- The Sr. Fragrance Evaluator must design development projects, coordinate, and set up smelling sessions for teams.
- Lead, mentor, and coach Fragrance Evaluator(s) on goal development and continuous learning to ensure a high performing, flexible and agile workforce.
- Must coordinate and facilitate panel tests and prepare results for clients.
- Must manage project priorities, sample requests, track oils, liaise with lab, sample pickup and delivery.
- Keep abreast of market trends, analyze gaps in customers product lines and research on new product introductions, analyze gaps in customers product lines; Order or shop for new products and various market products as needed.
- The Sr. Fragrance Evaluator must attend client visits with other team members as needed to present fragrances, trends, and concepts.
- Oversee management of the fragrance library to ensure it is updated regularly.
- Must be willing to supervise, resolve issues and conflicts within project teams to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Manage projects with firm deadlines to ensure successful project delivery.
- Must promote a safe food culture by maintaining a clean and organized workspace and adhering to all quality and safety standards within the department to ensure the safe production and shipment of quality products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Sr. Fragrance Evaluator must have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Science, Marketing, Business or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years of functional/technical experience in fragrance evaluation to be considered for the position.
- Must have a minimum of 2+ years of team management experience.
- Must have the ability to understand layers of a fragrance and creatively interpret findings in the development process.
- Ability to develop new and unique fragrances using expertise and knowledge.
- Must have project management and analytical skills to assess situations, processes etc.
- Looks for a way to improve and promote quality.
- Excellent judgment and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Must be comfortable to be exposed to perfumes and airborne particles in an office environment.
- Must be willing to work fulltime ONSITE, willing to travel occasionally as needed (day trip and overnight)
- Must be flexible to work on weekends or nights, if needed.
