Key Responsibilities of the Senior Fixed Assets Accountant:

• Oversee daily accounting tasks related to development projects and capital expenditures.
• Collaborate with the Fixed Assets Staff Accountant to foster a supportive team environment.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and internal controls in all accounting practices.
• Assist the Fixed Assets Accounting Manager by researching and applying accounting standards for policy updates and procedural changes.
• Present financial results, trends, and analyses to internal stakeholders, including Construction and Facilities teams.
• Support the accounting processes for real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Construction, Facilities, Treasury, Finance, and IT, to improve processes, resolve issues, and enhance efficiency.
• Contribute to ERP financial system transformation projects and other special initiatives led by the Fixed Assets Accounting Manager.
• Gather data to support the Financial Reporting team in preparing information for Form 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings as needed.
• Prepare capital expenditure, depreciation, overhead allocations, and financial results data for the annual budgeting process.
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts, seeking opportunities for automation and increased efficiency.

Qualifications of the Senior Fixed Assets Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
