Job Details
Currently they are looking to add a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, and this will be a full-time permanent role with a hybrid schedule out of their Long Beach office.
Requirements:
- BS degree in engineering or related science.
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in water-based fire protection systems.
- Licensed Fire Protection Engineer in California or the ability to get licensed within a year.
- Perform consulting and design services on various projects, utilizing Fire Protection Engineering technical skills.
- Analysis of existing fire protection systems; design new fire protection systems, including fire suppression systems, fire alarms, and mass notification systems.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in business development and job proposals.
- Able to work independently as well as in teams.
- Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
- In-depth knowledge of the Title 24 CA Building Standards Code and NFPA Standards.
Nice to have but NOT required:
- Healthcare, federal, and education project design is a plus.
- Licensed FPE in the states of Washington or Oregon is a plus.
- Experience designing gaseous fire suppression and fire alarm systems.
- Experience in code consulting, hazardous materials analysis, passive fire protection, smoke control, or occupant egress analysis.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
