Are you an accomplished and ambitious financial professional with a knack for detailed reporting and a passion for the engineering industry? We are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. This role will be integral in ensuring our company's financial health by preparing and reviewing financial reports, analyzing contracts, and researching technical accounting issues. The ideal candidate will be familiar with U.S. GAAP and SEC Reporting requirements and will have experience with various financial software programs. Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the preparation of external financial filings including 10-Q, 10-K, proxy, press releases, and other SEC filings.
2. Assist with the review of revenue contracts under ASC 606.
3. Prepare statutory filings and respond to other government reporting requests.
4. Research and resolve complex technical accounting issues.
5. Maintain knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC Reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
6. Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline and improve financial processes.
7. Utilize financial software programs such as Workiva WDesk, Hyperion, HFM, OneStream, SAP, and Oracle.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA certification.
3. 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the engineering industry.
4. Prior experience working with or auditing publicly traded companies.
5. Proficient in U.S. GAAP and SEC Reporting requirements.
6. Experience with Workiva WDesk, Hyperion, HFM, OneStream, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent financial software.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work product.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
