ABOUT THIS ROLE
St. Michael’s is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to support an Intelligence Community (IC) client. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will serve as a team lead overseeing teammates performing financial analysis, NFR remediation, and policy review/formulation. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your previous financial analysis and leadership experience. Our core value of Dependability will be paramount to this role as you will be overseeing various workstreams and reporting the team’s findings directly to the client.

Springfield, VA (100% On-site)
WHO YOU ARE
- 12 or more years of total experience.
- 8 or more years of specialized experience in Department of Defense (DoD) or the IC.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent work experience. Academic degrees may be substituted for years of experience, and years of experience may be substituted for academic degrees based on the following:
- 2 years of school = 1 year of experience.
- 2 years of experience = 1 year of school.
- Active TS Clearance (with ability to obtain SCI eligibility and Counterintelligence Polygraph).
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- As a working Task Lead, you will be providing oversight and guidance to team members while directly contributing to the work effort for one or more of the following:
- Interpreting DoD guidance related to capitalizing, expensing, procuring, administering, and disposing of PP&E, IUS, Real Property, and IT Hardware
- Analyzing Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs) issued by the external auditor and developing recommendations and milestones for Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), based on the five financial statement assertions
- Developing or updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or process narratives and flowcharts
- Analyzing data from the general ledger, contracts, commitment documents, and other key supporting documents to develop accounting recommendations
- Applying your knowledge of asset management (acquisition, administration, disposal) to provide recommendations to the Government based on best practices and lessons learned
- Engaging in both written and verbal communications with Government POCs, across all levels of the organization
