Job Details
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct intricate and comprehensive financial modeling and data analysis (using Microsoft Excel) for vertically integrated large-scale development opportunities across diverse asset classes.
- Generate periodic presentations and reports for project stakeholders such as lenders, investors, and management.
- Model fund waterfalls and optimize economics for real estate transactions.
- Develop and maintain suitable business and financial models to derive insights.
- Assist in underwriting funds and equity partners.
- Support existing acquisitions and strategic initiatives through ongoing analysis and project management.
- Gather industry data and competitive information from both external and internal sources.
- Assist with public financing vehicles like Opportunity Zones Funds, Management Districts, Municipal Utility Districts, TIRZ, and sales tax agreements.
- Collaborate effectively with professionals and information sources to acquire and consolidate information, draw conclusions, and communicate key analytics to team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Minimum of three years of experience in general financial accounting, reporting, or analysis, along with commercial real estate development experience and/or development underwriting experience.
- Preference for a background in real estate, private equity, or investment banking.
- Expertise in creating financial models using MACROS and other advanced Excel functions.
- Strong financial and statistical acumen.
- Excellent grasp of return metrics.
- Proficiency in quantitative reasoning.
- Ability to cultivate positive working relationships with team members and consultants.
- Capacity to work under time constraints and deadlines while managing multiple projects.
- Detail-oriented with robust administrative and analytical skills.
- Personality Attributes: self-starter, inquisitive, intellectually curious, capable of working effectively with minimal supervision, skilled problem solver/critical thinker, proactive and resourceful, exceptional communication skills, organized, high energy level.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to Argus software is advantageous.
