Responsibilities:We are looking for a Senior FP&A Financial Analyst to join our team!
Position Summary:
The Senior FP&A Financial Analyst is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and communicating financial information for the organization. Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Proactively identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. Transforms data into actionable insights that improves revenue and earnings of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end/quarter-end/year-end close duties.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, and monthly and quarterly forecasts.
- Partner with business leaders to provide insight on drivers of monthly results, identify opportunities within the business, and enhance their decision making abilities using analytics.
- Provide clear analyses on trends and causes of P&L variances. Translate those findings into recommendations that align with company business goals.
- Work closely with Finance leadership to identify opportunities to build out new processes and improve existing finance processes to ensure data integrity and efficient analyses.
- Perform ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel and modeling skills (pivot tables, Vlookups, Macros, etc.).
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience required.
- Strong Excel and financial management software skills are essential.
Desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Mathematics or related discipline required with a minimum of 3-5 years of finance experience with progressive responsibility in an FP&A function.
- Property & Casualty insurance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
