Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision making related to complex business issues including valuation, profitability, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support. Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the management.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial planning software.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to accuracy and detail required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong initiative for anticipating and meeting business demands.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc. is a plus.
- MBA or relevant professional certification (CFA/CPA) is a plus.
