About the Job
Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A (Learneo, Inc., Redwood City, CA): Reporting responsibilities including leading all P&L financial reporting analyses and deliverables and finance reviews, identifying risks and opportunities and presenting insights to leadership and executive teams, and ad-hoc analyses to understand root causes of unexpected P&L variances; Department BVA responsibilities including owning spend reporting process for all departments to provide visibility on spend against budget and headcount against plan and providing detailed BVA reporting (e.g. by vendor, by project, on a cash basis); Planning responsibilities including owning annual budgeting for all departments in COGS, G&A, R&D and S&M, working closely with budget owners to create vendor level, bottom-up budgets across all relevant categories, and acting as liaison between the company's corporate FP&A and organization to ensure alignment between budgeting policies and budgets; Bookings forecasting/planning including owning CH.com and MDS monthly, quarterly and annual forecast processes and partnering with Product and Analytics teams to project bookings impact of company initiatives; Develop and own COGS financial framework, particularly around hosting spend (AWS, GCP) and organic tutor costs; Own business integration for all potential future acquisitions folded into CH business; Assist with preparation of financial communications for our investors and Board of Directors. Must have the following skills and experience in order to perform the above-mentioned tasks: Strong command of Excel and its full functionalities (index/match type functions, pivot tables); Experience working with Corporate Accounting teams around monthly close, accrual reconciliation; Basic knowledge of a P&L structure and GAAP principles (accruals vs cash, capex vs amortization, revenue recognition of subscriptions, stock-based compensation, license amortization); Previous experience working with non-finance stakeholders (Marketing, Analytics, Product, Engineering) and C-suite executives; Experience using data visualization tools to create analyses and generate business insights, including Tableau and Google Analytics; Experience using SQL to run queries used to collect data and create analyses; and Experience working with "back-office" functions (eg data engineering, risk) to clean data, create consistent metric definitions and generate reports consumed across an organization. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Accounting, Informatics or related field, and at least two years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Investment Banker, Consultant or related corporate finance occupation.
