Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing in-depth financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning to support decision-making across the organization. Additionally, this role will partner cross functionally with Commercial, Product Development, Supply Chain & Operations teams to bring products to market and ensure customers receive the highest quality product and service.
This role requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of financial and accounting principles, and the ability to communicate effectively, and work independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, support external and internal audit processes.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against benchmarks and industry standards.
- Prepare and maintain financial models to inform management on financial performance.
- Lead development and presentation of annual operating plan and periodic forecast updates
Commercial Support
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support commercial activities including new product development, pricing, costing, and promotions.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business objectives and drive strategic decision-making.
Process Improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide insights to improve operational efficiency and establish and improve processes.
- Analyze revenue trends, expenses, and cash flow to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Mentor and guide other members of the Finance & Accounting team, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform financial strategies.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of combined experience in corporate financial planning & analysis, public accounting, and/or a related role, preferably in Food & Beverage industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with financial analysis tools and ERP and Financial Planning & Reporting systems (NetSuite & Planful preferably).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information and financial concepts to non-finance business partners in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and ambiguous environment and manage multiple priorities and deliverables, with strong sense of urgency
- Ability to exercise good judgment and work ethic to ensure the integrity of all reporting and financial data.
