We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. This position plays a pivotal role in our Mortgage department, providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior management. This includes preparing board presentations, financial presentations, investment analysis, budgeting and other projects requested by senior management. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes within the Mortgage industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and standards to optimize financial performance and operational productivity.
2. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, and manage the monthly variance analysis and reporting.
3. Provide financial modeling, financial analysis, and valuation support for acquisitions, new product development, long-term contracts, and other ad-hoc financial projects.
4. Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision making related to complex business issues including valuation, profitability, forecasting, and financial reporting.
5. Manage the Power BI reporting suite, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of reports.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
7. Provide insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts, and profitability.
8. Support new business development efforts through financial modeling and presentation.
9. Prepare quarterly and monthly board presentations and financial presentations.
10. Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as requested by management.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, or other related fields within the Mortgage industry.
2. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or relevant certification (CFA, CPA) is preferred.
3. Strong proficiency in Power BI, and other financial reporting tools.
4. Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with a strategic and forward-thinking mindset.
8. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Comprehensive understanding of the Mortgage industry, including knowledge of industry standards and current trends.
11. High degree of proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
