Senior Financial Analyst
Position Description

The Sr. Financial Analyst will support mission budget, financial, and contract offices with financial planning, budget and contract actions, and financial management support for Department of State portfolios. We are looking for someone who is forward thinking and demonstrates strong attention to detail. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office with work performed at client site in Arlington, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Support the Government in the facilitation of cross-work stream business/financial integration.
• Assist the Government in providing budget and federal financial management technical and analysis support
• Assist the Government in responding to assigned data calls.
• Assist in development of operating plans.
• Conduct budget year formulation.
• Assist in the development of the lifecycle funding requests.
• Monitor and track monthly contractual obligations via a traceability matrix.
• Produce data analysis leveraging analytics tools
• Report financial forecast to client, internal team and stakeholders.
• Understanding key contract terms, the financial implications of changes in those terms and the technical accounting impact of contracts.
• Propose improvements to the supporting analysis to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Be accountable for all deliverables and prioritize activities for client.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree in a business discipline and 7 years of experience required. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Extensive knowledge of federal budgeting and/or federal financial management
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance with the U.S. Federal Government.
• Strong financial knowledge coupled with strong consultative skills.
• Proven analytical skills and the ability to communicate with non-finance stakeholders.
• Independent decision making.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $67,800.00 - $165,200.00.
