Please join the AWS Finance team! The AWS Commerce Platform organization needs a finance professional to provide AWS Infrastructure planning and analysis for AWS Commerce Platform. This role will partner with this customer focused group of business to work on challenging and time sensitive needs. Key job responsibilities AWS Finance seeks a world class Senior Financial Analyst. This position works closely with senior business partners and finance professionals at all levels to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership on AWS's products. Key responsibilities include: - Influencing business partner decisions through education and collaboration on Infrastructure costs, CAPEX Savings , Marginal costs, Pricing, customer adoption, etc. - Collaborating with business partners to build and maintain detailed cost models by product/service - Driving the quarterly/Annual financial planning/budgeting activities for AWS infrastructure - Preparing and providing monthly financial reporting including communicating future financial risks and opportunities to the business - Developing and standardizing financial reporting - Working on ad hoc financial analyses and projects A day in the life The successful candidate will implement and drive the core financial processes for the business. Additional responsibilities include helping in strategic 3 year planning, refine the capacity planning processes and modeling improvements to maximize Operating Income. This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling background, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and solid skills in project management. This role has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and requires strong people skills. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) Preferred Qualifications - Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and drive projects to completion Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
