As part of the global diversified building materials group, CRH, we are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team based in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing, analyzing, and maintaining key financial reporting and metrics for our company leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer capital expenditure tracking processes and programs.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packages in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Conduct month-end closing activities, including reviewing operating company and divisional submissions.
- Communicate regularly with business unit leaders and key partners on financial close, issues, deliverables, and other relevant financial matters.
- Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for senior management.
- Research and resolve complex business inquiries for responsible business units.
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities to increase productivity and optimize data efficiency and quality.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in general finance and accounting areas or in industry.
- Previous relevant experience in an operations/manufacturing environment preferred.
- Pursuit of CPA or CPA preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- Strong financial background essential.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and consolidation systems such as Hyperion Financial Manager or Hyperion Planning preferred.
- Demonstrated strong technical and functional abilities in all areas of financial analysis.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
- Advanced analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Action-oriented and effectively drives for results.
- Reliable to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.
- Ability to deliver on time and under tight deadlines.
