We're currently seeking a Senior Finance Associate with a specialization in loan accounting to join our dynamic accounting/finance team. If you have 5-7 years of experience in accounting with a focus on loan accounting processes, and you're detail-oriented and passionate about financial accuracy, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily loan accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording, classification, and reconciliation of loan transactions.
- Conduct complex reconciliations of loan accounts to maintain accuracy and compliance with internal and external reporting standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for internal and external audits.
- Process loan payments, adjustments, and related financial transactions.
- Collaborate with the lending department to resolve discrepancies in loan accounting records.
- Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite for data input, report generation, and analysis.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support the accounting team with special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a focus on loan accounting.
- Preferably, experience in a bank or lender environment.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
