The Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences (ICS) at UC Irvine. As the only computing-focused school in the University of California system, the Bren School is a unique place for study, research, and collaboration. Our three departments Computer Science, Informatics, and Statistics, and four professional masters programs incorporate a broad range of curricular and research interests across the informational and computational sciences.
The incumbent is responsible for monitoring accounts for Bren: ICS departments, coordinating use of graduate student funding, as well as serving as the primary financial contact of all ICS professional programs. Conducts complex analyses, develops and maintains expenditure tracking, forecasts, reconciles ledgers, and prepares financial reports. Works with program faculty and staff to complete annual reports and reviews. Independently researches and creates financial reports as requested. Assists in fiscal closing activities, compliance, and coordination of financial operations with other campus units. Implements and maintains systems in accordance with University policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems. Required
- Ability to independently gather required information to organize, and perform financial analysis assignments. Required
- Proven ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. Required
- Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports. Required
- Proven interpersonal skills with peers throughout the organization; strong service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Proven ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment. Required
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Required
- Ability to function as a member of a team. Required
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources. Required
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, determine priorities, and meet challenging deadlines. Required
- Experience with various fund account types. Preferred
- Knowledge of UCI policies and procedures. Preferred
- Experience using UCI’s Kuali Financial System (KFS), UCPath, and other systems. Preferred
- Proficiency in MSO Office Suite, including Excel. Preferred

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $$73,900.00- $$88,850.00 ().
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- 3-5 years • 3-5 years of experience or a combination of experience and education.
