The Impact You’ll Make
The Senior Facilities Engineer will manage and own all Control System operations. Ensuring any modifications and contractor installations reflect all quality standards and ensure that the fire system vendors are coordinated with Lam Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical and Electrical) for proper delivery and implementation for fire systems on infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Do
- You will develop controls and the networking design.
- Develop hardware assembly and wiring diagrams for supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA), develop control system software in PLC ladder logic, function block, structured text and HMI programming as well as performing all continued ownership and troubleshooting of the SCADA and PLC systems.
- Allen Bradley and GE PLC hardware/software selection. Configuration and programming with ControlLogix and Proficy Machine Edition PLCs developing new programs and troubleshooting existing programs.
- Programming and troubleshooting with GE Cimplicity. Other HMI/SCADA experience may be substituted (Ignition, GE iFix, Rockwell Factory Talk, Wonderware Intouch).
- Configuring and troubleshooting networking devices such as industrial Ethernet switches, gateways and OPC servers. Configuring and troubleshooting industrial protocols (Common Industrial Protocol - ControlNet, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus RTU and TCP/IP, BACnet, Profinet, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus and HART Protocol).
- You will select and implementing wide ranges of instrumentation including but not limited to temperatures (air and process), pressures and flows (air, liquids, gasses), levels (liquids and gasses), dewpoints and humidity’s, process analytics, etc.
Who We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA/NEC, NETA and ISA requirements for semi-conductor facilities.
- Must have relevant experience being lead engineer for hardware engineering (systems, integration, instrumentation specification, panel layout and construction). Experienced designing process flow diagrams, P&IDs, single line diagrams, cable and conduit schedules, instrumentation and control data sheets, I/O lists and controls narratives/sequence of operations.
- Experience with AFD / VFD selection, programming, wiring, and interfacing. Relevant knowledge of sizing of drives and necessary components for drive functionality and safety.
