A prominent Commercial Drywall/Steel Stud Framing company is seeking a Senior Estimator / Project Manager to join their expanding team. Job DescriptionEstimator Responsibilities:
- Oversee the analysis of past project performance to establish future estimating standards.
- Assist in managing the effectiveness of bid management and estimating software.
- Establish standardized estimating methods and processes.
- Train estimating personnel in standardized methods and processes.
- Make final decisions on procedures, processes, techniques, and personnel for assigned projects.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in branch and project-specific safety plans and measures.
- Create and proactively manage punch lists.
- Understand and be accountable for QA/QC measures on assigned projects.
- Prepare RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of building systems and their relation to the construction process.
- Navigate and coordinate activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
- Create and implement job schedules, coordinate with field supervisors and foremen, and negotiate optimal work sequence positions.
- Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance, and make adjustments to maximize profits.
- Coordinate warranties and O&M’s.
- Assist in selecting vendors and coordinating materials and equipment.
- Manage the subcontractor buyout process, issue contracts, and manage subcontractor work, including billings and change orders.
- Complete and be accountable for job cost control measures through monthly Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAWs) on assigned projects.
- Support the branch through positive customer relations and active participation in the Customer Alignment Plan.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in estimating and project management in the commercial drywall industry.
- Stable work history with a proven track record.
- Proficiency in bid management and estimating software.
- Strong leadership and direction-following skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Information
Salary: $120,000 – $200,000
