Senior Estimator
Our client company seeks a Senior Estimator who is fluent in English and Spanish to join their distinguished civil/concrete construction team.
Summary:
The Senior Estimator is responsible for compiling high value bid proposals and concurrently managing Estimators in the proposal assembly process. Additionally, the Senior Estimator is expected to follow up and negotiate with clients to secure deals and provide ongoing cost estimate support for awarded contracts to operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Senior Estimator must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas to effectively perform the role in a safe and productive manner. Please note that the listed areas are meant to provide a general overview of the work performed by colleagues in this role and are not exhaustive.
- Providing Guidance to Estimators
- Overseeing and completing Quantity Survey Take-off
- Managing & Contacting Vendors and Subcontractors.
- Preparing Pricing, Bids, and Proposals
- Completing Post Bid Activities
- Facilitating the transition from Pre-construction to Operations.
- Providing Cost Estimate of Changes During Construction
- Ensuring a Safe Work Environment
- Participating in Training and Certifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Accounting, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- 6 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
