Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000 - $115,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday – Weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities of the Construction Senior Estimator include:
Planning & Forecasting –
- Attends a weekly department/sales meeting.
- Reviews existing estimates and discusses new opportunities (ITBs) considering available capacity; Updates bid board.
- Participates in post-mortem reviews to learn/grow from past project estimates.
Collecting & Soliciting -
- Collect and organizes bid docs, project requirements, and specification documents, and gathers additional subcomponents of estimates such as special requirements.
- Sends ITBs to vendors and subcontractors soliciting pricing information and relevant project addendums.
- Organizes subcontractor quotes and keeps project file updated with revisions and addendums.
- Attends pre-bids and walk-throughs to investigate special project requirements.
Quantifying & Assembling -
- Performs quantity takeoffs to identify appropriate levels of labor and materials.
- Determines timeframes that will be required to meet the bid date.
- Determines which aspects of a project can utilize commodities vs. requiring customized quotes
- Assembles and organizes all findings and documents into pricing files on the network, Creates spreadsheets to house estimates and schedules.
Reviewing & Submitting -
- Reviews jobs thoroughly to be aware of project requirements and areas of particular concern
- Reviews contractual terms and conditions, prepares relevant bid forms and submits bids by deadlines.
- Prepares project turnover packages for Project Managers containing all plans, specs, and pricing information.
Networking & Supporting-
- Attends career and industry events to network with customers and vendors.
- Supports Project Managers as questions arise throughout the duration of the project, while also providing change order assistance.
- Conducts post-bid reviews with CM/GC
Qualified candidates will have:
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or Equivalent, College Degree (Preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC estimating experience.
- Able to read and understand plans and specifications.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
- Experience with digital take-off software (Autobid preferred)
- Strong organizational skills
- Must have a valid driver's license.
