Selectek is partnering with a company located near Irving, Texas to fill a Senior Estimator role. This client is seeking an experienced candidate to prepare materials and analyze costs for projects in the wastewater/water and oil & gas sectors.
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Expected Pay Range: $100,000-$115,000 per hour, depending on experience
Location: Irving, Texas
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of building automation or facility control systems for Mission Critical or advanced manufacturing inftrastructure
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
- Knowledge of PLC and/or DCS programming and configuration
- Ability to provide a take-off of P&IDs for process and mechanical systems
- Experience with complex estimates from 30/60/90% design status

Job Details:
- Review preconstruction engineering and assessment of plans and specs
- Determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized project lists
- Compute cost factors and prepare estimates
- Use estimating tools to develop quotes
- Participate in pre-submittal meetings to review costs and labor estimates
- Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine discrepancies
- Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement
- Ideal candidates can deliver projects on aggressive timelines while emphasizing safety requirements
Schedule: Monday Friday, normal work hours.
