Job Description:
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for asphalt paving projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. This role requires a deep understanding of asphalt paving as well as full roadway construction estimating, ideally with DOT experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for asphalt paving projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope to develop accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather relevant information for bidding.
• Assess risks and opportunities associated with each project estimate.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, pricing trends, and regulations, particularly related to DOT projects.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and presentations to clients as needed.
• Track and manage estimates throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating asphalt paving projects.
• Strong understanding of full roadway construction estimating, with preference for candidates with DOT experience.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Must be a team player
