We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. This is a permanent position in the construction industry and offers an opportunity to be a part of a diverse team of professionals focused on delivering exceptional results. The Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for all aspects of project estimation, including multi-family, ground-up construction, Lean Construction, Design Build, market rate, Mixed Use, and student housing projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Estimator, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Preparing detailed project estimates and bids for multi-family, ground-up construction, Lean Construction, Design Build, market rate, Mixed Use, and student housing projects.
2. Evaluating and analyzing project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive understanding of the project scope and requirements.
3. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to discuss cost estimates and resolve cost discrepancies.
4. Implementing cost management strategies to maximize efficiency and profitability.
5. Managing contracts, ensuring all contractual terms and obligations are met.
6. Utilizing estimating software, such as PlanSwift, to increase accuracy and efficiency of estimates.
7. Participating in project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring of project progress.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in construction estimating and project bidding.
9. Applying knowledge of tax credit implications on project costing and profitability.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record in multi-family, ground-up construction, Lean Construction, Design Build, market rate, Mixed Use, and student housing projects.
2. Strong knowledge of construction estimating and project bidding techniques.
3. Proficiency in using estimating software, such as PlanSwift.
4. Solid understanding of contract management and cost management practices.
5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make accurate estimates and projections.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
