Headquartered in beautiful Carlsbad, CA, we are a full-service Design-Build company. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
This position is responsible for overseeing the estimation process for assigned scopes of work on a given project, developing project strategies related to Electrical, in pursuits and overseeing the transference of that strategy post-award through design, primarily through buyout strategies and constructability reviews. This should be done with accuracy and within the required timeframe. The Senior Estimator will typically be responsible for supporting more than one estimate, proposal, and/or project design at the same time, and may serve as the PM on a new award until a PM is assigned; may also serve as a resource throughout the project's life cycle. This position may also help staff and oversee self-perform Electrical work when applicable, including the purchase of equipment. This position may have direct reports to include Estimators and Jr. Estimators. Priority will be given to those in the Norfolk area, remote work will be considered.
Salary: $100k - $125k per year
Requirements are as follows:
- A degree/ course in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
- Eight or more years' experience or equivalent in construction industry as a Project Manager, Superintendent, and/or Estimator required. Previous work experience must include all phases of construction, specifically bidding and assist designing complex Electrical solutions, and applied experience in the design-build industry required.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office - esp. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
- Specific software literacy (McCormick, Bluebeam, etc...) preferred.
