Role Overview:
Seeking a Senior Estimator to analyze project documentation, prepare material quotes, direct costs, and labor estimates for building automation and facility control systems.
Requirements:

• Expertise in Building Automation or Facility Control Systems for Mission Critical/Advanced Manufacturing
• Proficient in reading mechanical and electrical drawings
• Ability to take off P&IDs for process and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of PLC, DCS Systems, Instrumentation, and Control Valve Products
• Experience developing estimates from 30%, 60%, and 90% design stages
• Strong multitasking and deadline management skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; proficient in Microsoft Office and pdf applications like Bluebeam and Adobe
• Engineering degree or equivalent work experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preconstruction engineering reviews and assess plans/specifications
• Determine material/labor requirements and prepare itemized lists
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for planning, bids, vendor selection, and cost effectiveness
• Use estimating tools to develop quotes and maintain current pricing
• Consult with clients, vendors, and internal teams to formulate estimates and resolve issues
• Participate in pre-submittal meetings to review costs and labor estimates
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimated and actual costs and recommend improvements
• Provide cost estimates for change orders promptly
• Identify cost trends for management’s cost reduction and process improvement efforts
