Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction, the Senior Estimator will leverage their knowledge of building systems, cost analysis, and value engineering to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions. - Preconstruction Management:
- Oversee and manage the preconstruction process for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company objectives.
- Conduct and lead project design and constructability reviews.
- Develop and present comprehensive preconstruction plans to stakeholders.
- Documentation Review and Takeoffs:
- Analyze project documentation to identify RFIs, design conflicts, and missing information.
- Perform detailed and efficient takeoffs using Stack Software, leveraging a deep understanding of building systems and components.
- Estimating and Scoping:
- Prepare detailed estimates, clarifications, and scopes of work.
- Conduct life cycle cost analyses and propose alternate solutions for value engineering and cost savings.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to verify scope and quantities throughout the bid process.
- Proposal Development and Client Interaction:
- Prepare final proposals and present them to project owners, small groups, and stakeholders.
- Provide value engineering options, alternate designs, and cost-saving measures to enhance project outcomes.
- Subcontractor Coordination and Scheduling:
- Work closely with PCE and PCC teams to ensure thorough subcontractor coverage during the bid process.
- Create and interpret project milestone schedules and durations.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Lead project transfer meetings with the operations team for awarded projects.
- Strategize incoming opportunities with leadership to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related engineering field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years in a preconstruction or estimating role, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects ($20M-$30M).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Stack Software for takeoffs and other on-screen takeoff tools (e.g., Planswift, OST).
- Strong knowledge of building systems, components, and all 16 CSI divisions.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling tools.

- Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinker capable of providing life cycle cost analysis and value engineering.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Must be willing to work full-time in the office (90%) with occasional job walks (10%).
