Senior Environmental Chemist - Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.

Your work will influence the entire project – from assessment and investigation, (including solving complex groundwater issues), to conceptual remediation design plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.  You will also serve as a mentor to junior staff, educating them about field data collection, environmental design parameters, as well as regulatory criteria.  This outstanding opportunity is catered to a senior level professional looking to advance their career with a leader in the environmental consulting industry.

• B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or PhD a plus.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in managing assessment and remediation design projects as well as permitting and/or environmental compliance activities;
• Experience with solving issues associated with the mining industry a plus;
• Strong working knowledge of state/federal environmental laws and regulations as they relate to environmental compliance and remediation systems;
• Experience working with regulatory agency personnel in the tristate area (PA, OH, WV) a plus;
• Demonstrated success in the development and execution of business development strategies including creation of market/client intelligence, win themes, client relationship management, and revenue generation.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior scientists while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Ability to speak and write professionally, including experience with preparation of regulatory submittals, along with the ability to effectively present complex technical information to diverse audiences including trade associations.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with professionals from various backgrounds.
