Position: Senior Enterprise Systems Administrator
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Salary Range: $81,600 - $91,600 per year
Clearance: Clearable to Q
KeyLogic is seeking a Senior Enterprise Systems Administrator to support a major national laboratory. You will Provide end-user support with processes for managing and delivering services that are ITIL® conformant. Resolve incidents, service requests, and problems associated with service failures or degradations that are related to hardware and software computing devices (including mobile equipment). Additionally, support multi-user rooms (e.g., Skype rooms, classrooms) and video and collaborative technologies.
Computer Field Services provide second-tier, desk-side computer support of computing hardware and software in NM, CA, D.C., and NV. Support is provided in both the unclassified and classified arenas, across the general campus, including in high-security buildings (HSBs).
The operating systems supported include approved and authorized versions of MS Windows, MacOS, and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu). The hardware supported includes laptops, desktops, thin/zero clients running desktop-as-a-service (DaaS), virtual-desktop infrastructure, and associated peripheral devices.
Responsibilities:
Plan and monitor assistance to users in accessing and using business systems. Supervise and manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of client/server-based systems unique to enterprise operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs.
- Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow workflows, forms, reports, and integrations.
- Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration changes, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing their inquiries and resolving system-related issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide user support.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration tasks.
- Experience working with APIs and integrating ServiceNow with other systems using REST protocols.
- Develop and maintain robust API integrations between the ServiceNow platform and external third-party services, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange to enhance automation capabilities and extend the functionality of the ServiceNow ecosystem. Utilize best practices for API consumption and management to facilitate seamless integration with other IT systems and business applications.
- Design and implement automation workflows within the ServiceNow platform to streamline IT and business processes, leveraging the platform's capabilities to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency across Incident, Request, and Change.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive service catalog, creating custom catalog items and workflows that meet specific business requirements, ensuring user-friendly interfaces and seamless backend integration for automated request fulfillment processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to be cleared at the DOE Q level and the ability to maintain clearance throughout employment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 2 years relevant experience. In lieu of BS degree, an additional 6 years of related experience, or AA in related field + 3 years related experience.
- 2+ years of experience with VMWare ESXi servers and virtual administration.
- Experience with deploying and administering virtual servers into a high-availability production environment
- Experience with deploying / configuring Linux environments or connecting windows servers to Linux service providers through middleware configurations.
- Needs to be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with cloud/VM management technologies (self-service)
Desired:
- Active DOE Q clearance or DOD TS
- Experience with automation solutions (PowerShell, testplant, VB, etc) for process improvement efforts
- Ability to team/collaborate with cyber security teams to develop plans for NIST/IATT controls for implementation of new enhancements.
- Ability to manage workflow from several sources and prioritize based on effective communication.
- Knowledge of administration of Avaya IP phone management systems.
