What you’ll do
As our Senior Engineering Technician, you’ll be asked to take on dynamic projects. We should mention the workweek will exceed 40 hours, especially during construction season. We'll count on you to:
- Complete hands-on field and office work to help the firm advance projects.
- Have substantial knowledge and expertise with engineering designs, drawing creation, sample collection and construction observation.
- Interpret complex drawings, plans and specifications.
- Assess work, record activities and quantities, verify materials, ensure plans are followed and conduct environmental sampling.
- Support, manage and teach entry-level technicians in the field.
- Create drawings using CAD.
- Plan and conduct complete project scope or a portion of a more diverse or larger project.
- Prepare calculations, summary sheets and data.
- Maintain field and office equipment.
- Develop leadership skills that build autonomy.
What it takes
Ideally, you’ll have an associate degree in Surveying Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology or Construction Technology and 10 years of experience are a must. Ideally, you will also:

- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Speak and write well.
