Senior Engineering Program Manager
Our client seeks a driven and experienced Senior Engineering Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced product development environment. This customer-facing role combines technical expertise and project management to deliver innovative solutions.
The position also supports the PMO by contributing to project management best practices.
Project Management
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resources, and budgets.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead engineering, design, and technical teams to ensure collaboration and alignment.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and open communication.
Risk Management
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor progress and provide updates to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.
- Communicate status, expectations, and risks to diverse audiences.
Proposal and Planning Support
- Create compelling, technically detailed proposals.
- Develop project plans and estimates.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical or software preferred).
- Advanced degree, PMP certification, or MBA is a plus.
Experience
- 10+ years in engineering, with 5+ years in project management or leadership.
- Experience with complex electro-mechanical systems and manufacturing.
- Medical device or DoD program experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, SharePoint).
- Familiarity with development methodologies (waterfall, agile).
- Knowledge of electrical, software, and mechanical design integration.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective under pressure, managing multiple priorities.
