Senior Engineer, Commissioning (Hybrid) - Eversource Energy

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
This position has the responsibility for the development and implementation of plans and procedures for the testing and commissioning of highly complex transmission and distribution substation projects. This position works closely with other groups including Project Management & Construction, Protection & Controls Engineering and Engineering & Design in the development of project test and commissioning plans with a focus on ensuring safety and eliminating issues and errors during the testing and commissioning process. This position is responsible for commissioning of substation equipment as individual units (breakers, transformers, etc.) as well as overall project commission including controls, systems, relays, metering, etc.
Essential Functions:
•Assists in the development of procedures for the successful test and commissioning of Transmission & Distribution (MV & HV) substation projects.
•Responsible for oversight to ensure substation projects are successfully tested and commissioned in accordance with industry and company standards with a high focus on safety, human performance, and overall system reliability.
•Responsible for project test data review, collection, and acceptance.
•Accountable for root-cause analysis, development and implementation of corrective actions relating to project commissioning, as needed.
•Responsible for project audits to ensure safety, human performance and compliance with standards and work methods are being met.
•Collaborates effectively with other engineering and project management disciplines to ensure consistency and teamwork.
•Supports the development and/or training of less experienced team members.
•May perform supervisory duties as needed or as assigned.
•May require work performed outside of normal business hours.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
_Technical Knowledge/Skill:_
+ Must have the ability to communicate effectively, use computers effectively, and write clearly/concisely.
_Education:_
+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology is required.
_Experience_ :
+ A minimum of five (5) years of related experience is required. Substation Engineering, Power Systems, or related electric utility experience is highly preferred. Substation equipment testing and/or commissioning is highly preferred.
+ Familiarity with substation equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear and associated controls is desired.

Compensation:
Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Theannualsalary range for this positionis$122,000.00to$136,000.00, plus incentive. Salary iscommensuratewith your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.

+ Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
+ Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
