Product Development
Responsible for developing new products and production processes, and closely collaborating with colleagues and surgeons to provide effective solutions for clinical needs.
Advanced Metal Processing
Responsible for the manufacturing of our metal product parts, including progressive stamping, computer numeric control (CNC) machining, electrical discharge machining (EDM), vacuum molds, and metal injection molding (MIM).
Process Development
Responsible for creating and contributing to processes that achieve product improvement, cost reduction, tooling capacity, ergonomic enhancement, and overall production efficiency.
Polymer Processing
Responsible for the manufacturing of our polymer and rubber product parts, including advanced injection molding, transfer molding, extrusion, and insert molding.
Automation
Responsible for developing and improving cutting-edge automation technologies to enable scalability, ensure quality standards, and increase production volumes to meet growing demands.
Mold Development
Responsible for designing and fabricating the molds used to manufacture our rubber and polymer product parts.
Electrical Engineering
Responsible for designing and developing the electrical systems and components that power our devices, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance: Serve as an SME to guide initiatives and provide strategic vision, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Lead and manage engineering projects: Oversee the development of new products and enhancements to existing ones.
- Design and evaluate mechanical parts and assemblies: Ensure manufacturability, accuracy, and aesthetics of mechanical components.
- Quality assurance and risk management: Conduct failure analysis, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Technical documentation and compliance: Oversee and develop engineering documents, maintain compliance with Design Control procedures, and update Risk Management and FMEA documents.
- Technical support and training: Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers and support cross-functional team collaboration.
- Process and product improvement: Design and refine manufacturing techniques to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
- Polymer equipment research and development: Lead research on polymer equipment, process development, and alternative materials.
- Stakeholder communication: Provide regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders on project status and ongoing initiatives.
- More than 10 years of industry experience in product design, process improvements, or project management.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, die-casting, or sheet metal bending.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive solutions through creative thinking.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with quality assurance processes, including failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and reliability testing.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

The base compensation range for these roles can range from $95000 - $125000 / year for these positions in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting.
