JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the collection and detailed analysis of data coming from the entire NCLH fleet to provide reports required by various regulations. Provide detailed analysis and data modeling on ship systems to analyze the potential of energy savings. Provide weekly, monthly, and yearly reports with relevant energy saving KPI's to keep Shipboard and Management informed on the progress of the different energy conservation projects- and initiatives, in support of company's short, mid and long-term climate targets.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor, analyze, and validate annual fuel consumption data for the NCLH Fleet to support regulatory carbon emission reporting.
- Optimize data collection procedures and develop new and more efficient data analysis methods, including development of scenario analysis forecasting for company emissions targets. Department liaison for development of fuel forecasting tools with Enterprise Analytics team
- Support the submission of all required regulatory documents and plans to appropriate Classification Society for review and plan approval.
- Support senior management in implementing ways to improve the data quality and use of it to help analysis of fleet efficiency.
- Leverage analytical skills to improve data quality and produce detailed weekly analysis of fleet efficiency.
- Utilize existing tools that are available to gather additional data for in depth analysis.
- Develop proficiency in existing data sources and tools, including but not limited to Eniram Fleet system, Napa Office, weather reporting software. Analyze ship consumption metrics to understand how variables can impact overall consumption.
- Support senior management with the preparation of reports on energy conservation projects, including investment returns and impacts on regulatory requirements.
- Assist with analysis on performance of systems and validation of the savings.
- Communicate with Senior Ship Officers, ship superintendents and electrical superintendents regarding questions on energy conservation projects.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain the Fuel Team Site.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: In Engineering related fields (Mechanical, Biomechanical, Marine), Data Science and Analytics or related field of study; or any relevant equivalent work experience, training, skills and/or certifications.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of work experience in data science and analytics or greenhouse gas emissions accounting, reporting and/or regulatory frameworks. Prior experience in the marine industry or in a corporate environment is a plus.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

- Strong proficiency with Excel, Power Point, Word and Project Manager. Basic familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of ships, ship's systems and operations. Ability to adapt to using new software and comprehend the technical nature of the data.
