Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree required, with specialization in the electrical discipline.
- Preferred 10 years of previous consulting or facilities engineering/design experience.
- Ohio PE License required & valid driver’s license.
- Must have knowledge of applicable building and National Electrical Codes, and stay up to date with current trends in electrical & design.
- Relationship focused on maintaining effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, vendors, and the client. Including the ability to delegate tasks.
- Proactive with Integrity, sense of responsibility, and independent judgment.
- Proficiency in communication, verbally and in writing, with a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office - emails, word and excel.
Responsibilities
- Experience Electrical Project Engineer able to execute complex, single-discipline and complex multidisciplinary projects. Working as a lead engineer on projects to coordinate work with other disciplines.
- Interfaces with clients and vendors, assists with proposal development and project documentation including estimating engineering man hours/construction costs estimates for scope.
- Coordinates all aspects of project document completion with clients and design professionals, able to effectively review the project design team. Check the progress of the Project Manager of needed changes to the scope or other services.
- Performs field measurements independently, including, training new teammates, and assesses the requirements of a project, milestones, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Coordinating with design professionals and GC to make sure the project meets state and building code requirements.
- Makes recommendations and/or decisions on unusual or complicated issues, participates in design production, reviews & supervises others, and adds input on budgets & scope of projects.
- Coordinates and provides feedback & support to management on projects
- Manage and Lead design staff acting as a resource for design questions.
