The Senior Project Manager II is a key leadership role supports PVEDI's reputation as a leading expert of MEP services in energy consulting, design and forensics. We provide a wide range of multidisciplinary services from Local Law compliance to investigations of $100M+ loss events centered around our expertise in all things building related. PVEDi is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead and grow an Electrical Team. They will provide electrical and fire alarm expertise and oversee multidisciplinary service teams. Candidate should have a strong interest in building a business and learning business development skills.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Establish, manage and grow Electrical team. This will entail hiring, training and managing staff; development of standards; and participation in business development activities.
- Provide electrical and fire alarm expertise for our design and forensics projects. This will require in-depth knowledge of standard engineering and construction practices, building codes, NFPA 70 (Electrical Code), NFPA 72 (Fire Alarm Code), local utility requirements and applicable reference standards.
- Lead electrical and fire alarm designs serving as Engineer of Record where applicable.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and projects from proposal preparation through project completion, including invoicing and accounts receivable.
- Perform investigations and write reports for loss investigations and expert witness services. This will require some travel and strong analytical, writing and presentation skills.
- Provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Mentor and grow direct reports and junior engineers.
- Represent PVEDI in communications with external clients, contractors, vendors, consultants, and city/state construction/energy agencies.
- Play a lead role in growing our business. The candidate should have an interest in building business development skills and assisting with supporting marketing efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering from an Accredited university
- 8+ years of experience (required) with projects based in NYC (strongly preferred), electrical e
- New York State Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
