About the Job
Senior Electrical Engineer (Communications Test Design, Inc., West Chester, PA): Manage the scope of work on system designs, including resource planning, budgeting, supervising project work and engineering team, and verifying designs to ensure timely completion of projects that meet the quality and project goals; Develop and implement code for controlling electro-mechanical systems; Develop control system software; Select and integrate I/O; Test and debug source code; Work closely with engineering and R&D teams to add features to systems; Assist with maintaining and optimizing code for existing electrical systems; Follow best practices for software version control and documentation; and Devises and performs tests to identify the root cause of problems. Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Knowledge of PLC, motion controllers and core automation principles; Experience with either ST (Structured Test) OR Embedded C/C#/C++ with an emphasis on PLC or motion controllers programming; Experience with machine-control APIs; Experience with Automation Technologies such as Conveyance; Experience developing and implementing control System for complex systems; Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Layout electrical and schematics drawing using AutoCAD Electrical; Building, testing and implementation of Electrical Panels; and Experience in designing Human Machine Interface(HMI)/GUI to provide technicians with operation/process controls. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or a related technical field, and at least two years of experience as a Controls or Mechatronics Engineer or related occupation. Option to work from home under limited circumstances up to 3-4 times per year. Travel required up to 20% of the time in any U.S. state that has a CTDI branch, particularly Texas, Indiana, and Tennessee. Salary: $72,093.00 - $155,538.00. Send C.V. to sschreck@ctdi.com
