SENIOR/LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Seeking an Electrical Engineer who is able to function as a project lead for capital projects. The Electrical Engineer will participate in all electrical functions associated with projects including FEL (front end loading), production design, electrical construction management, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting activities. Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers, forecasting, budgeting, developing project scope.
Responsibilities include:
- Scope definition from receipt of basic data to issue for design process deliverables
- Interface with the clients' cross functional teams to define all operating requirements
- Responsible for study, design, specification and services related to electrical systems including power generation, power systems performance and control, cabling and wiring, lighting, MCC, communication systems, cathodic protection, grounding, lightning protection, heat tracing, etc.
- Assess the quality, robustness and capability of newly designed and installed capital projects.
- Industrial electrical power distribution ranging from HV (greater than 35kV), MV (1kV through 35kV) through LV (120V through 1kV)
- Electrical power equipment including generators, substations, switchgear, transformers, MCC, distribution panels
- Electrical drawing knowledge. able to read and generate single line diagrams, 3 line diagrams, schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, physical drawings
- Overall responsibility for design, specification, selection, and services relating to instrumentation and control systems including basic process control systems, safety systems, control panels, analyzer systems, field instrumentation, valves, etc.
