Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: St Paul, Minnesota, United States

Duration: 12 Months

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)

Job Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to design, test, and troubleshoot optical, electronic, and mechanical devices. The role includes working on motor design, amplifiers, power systems, EMC, and microprocessor design. Experience with medical device design and FDA regulations is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop optical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Create stepper motors, DC motors, and instrument amplifiers.
• Develop power supply systems and manage power efficiency.
• Perform EMC design and testing.
• Program and design microprocessors.
• Ensure FDA compliance for medical devices.
• Work with third-party designers on test and design plans.
• Contribute to the development of medical devices.
• Test and analyze electrical components and systems.
• Document design processes and maintain accurate records.
• Use tools for schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical device design and testing.
• Experience with PCB design and optical-electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical devices.
• Familiar with FDA regulations and medical device design.
• Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Experience with simulation tools (electrical/optical) is a plus.
• Programming knowledge in C/C++, Python, or Matlab is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Willing to travel up to 10%, including internationally.
